Today, in Banja Luka, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Dragan Lukač, and the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Darko Ćulum, attended the promotion of 224 cadets of the 19th class of the Unit for Police Training – Police Academy, who took a solemn oath. The ceremony was also attended by the Republic of Srpska President, Ms Željka Cvijanović.             On this occasion, Minister Lukač said that the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior is hoping that the future police officers would wear their uniforms with honour. He pointed out that 212 out of the total number of these cadets would enforce the law in the Republic of Srpska, whereas 12 would work in Brčko District.             The Republic of Sprska President, Ms Željka Cvijanović, congratulated to all the cadets and the Republic of Srpska for getting such employees. The President stressed that she had always had trust in our police and that she believed that a lot of effort was invested in educating the cadets.              The head of Administration for Police Training said that he hoped the cadets would justify their vocation, and that it was their results that convinced everyone that this was a high-quality class. He explained that they should perform their duty objectively since the society and citizens expected a lot from them.             Finally, this was also an opportunity for contracts with the cadets of the 20th class to be signed.
