The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Dragan Lukač, handed over today in Banja Luka keys for 20 new motor vehicles to the members of Banja Luka Police Administration that will be distributed to police stations on the City of Banja Luka territory. The Minister said that the vehicles are intended for use in police stations with the highest rate of interventions and that the objective of the Ministry was to contribute to their efficacy. He added that the police in Banja Luka would be recognizable for these vehicles and that the police would be able to provide a timely action. Minister Lukač said that the Police represented a service of all the citizens of Srpska. The new vehicles will replace old vehicles in police stations with the highest number of interventions, whereas the used vehicles from those stations will be forwarded to the police stations that usually have a low rate of interventions. The Minister said that BAM 775,000 were allocated from the budget of the Ministry for this procurement and that the Ministry would continue to improve its vehicle fleet in the future.
