The Republic of Srpska

     The Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Darko Ćulum, is attending the Conference called ‘Joint response to migration crisis and its connection to terrorism’, held in Budva, Montenegro.     At the Conference, where police directors from the countries of the Western Balkans gathered with the representatives of EUROPOL, FRONTEX and EU member states, the role of law implementation bodies and the influence of their activities to irregular movements of migrants in the region of Western Balkans are discussed. Joint systemic changes were agreed upon, as well as inter-agency and international cooperation in the field of information exchange and best practices in searching for a response to this contemporary security challenge.      The activities were defined related to monitoring the return of ISIS fighters and their relatives, since this is a significant topic of everyday political discussions and a security risk.     Consequently, the best practices of EU countries were identified, and also the gaps and weaknesses to be solved on the whole route that goes ‘before and after’ the Western Balkans, from Greece to Western Europe.
