  ‘Only firm and open cooperation of police agencies and readiness for timely information exchange may contribute to preventive activities and protection of our citizens and countries from possible terrorist acts and all other security threats’, the Republic of Srpska Police director, Mr Darko Ćulum, said today at ‘Foro di Roma’, the Balkan Region Police Chiefs Conference, organised by the Police of Italy.             In his address to the participants of this Conference, in which chiefs of police agencies of Italy also participated, he said that the Republic of Srpska Police had excellent cooperation with police agencies in the region, as well as with other European countries. He added that the greatest security challenge for the Republic of Srpska was the current migrant crisis, since ‘among migrants in illegal migrations, there are persons of interest in the field of security who may be connected to terrorist activities, participation at Syrian and other  battlefields.                    During his stay in Rome, Director Ćulum, together with police chiefs of police agencies in BIH, had a bilateral meeting with the managers of the Directorate for countering terrorism of the Police of Italy.
