The Republic of Srpska

A representative of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior and the Association of Republic of Srpska Women Police Officers Network – RS WPON, Ms Sanja Sumonja, attends the seminar entitled ”Countering Sexual and Gender-Based Violence in Conflict and Post-Conflict Countries – Role of Police and Lessons Learned in Victim Response”, that is held in Seoul, South Korea in the period from June 10 to 13, 2019. Ms Sumonja presented the activities of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior and the Republic of Srpska Women Police Officers Network in the field of preventing and countering sexual and gender-based violence in the Republic of Srpska. Some of the seminar participants include students and practitioners in the area of providing support to victims, representatives of the diplomatic community in Korea and several ambassadors to South Korea, as well as police officers from South Korea, Zimbabwe, Senegal, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, Georgia and other countries. The seminar is organized by the UNDP South Korea with the support of the South Korea Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
