The Republic of Srpska

      The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Dragan Lukač, met today, in Banja Luka, with Deputy Chief of Mission of U.S. Embassy to BiH, Ms Ellen Germain, and discussed cooperation so far between the Republic of Srpska MoI and the U.S. Embassy to BIH, especially regarding the continued support of the Embassy, which is reflected in training to establish professional and well-trained police forces.       They pointed out that good cooperation was established also in the field of countering all forms of crime, especially terrorism.      Minister Lukač informed Deputy Chief about changes made in the organisation within the Ministry regarding the establishment of the Gendarmerie Unit, its key role, and training of its members. Furthermore, they discussed current projects implemented within the Ministry, especially regarding Training Centre.
