341 NEW POLICE ACADEMY CADETS SIGNED THE AGREEMENT ON BEGINNING OF THE COURSE

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Dragan Lukac, signed today in Banja Luka agreements on the beginning of the course at the Police Academy with 341 cadets – 329 cadets of the 21st Class for the members of General Police and 12 cadets of the 7th Class for the members of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit (SAU).        Minister Lukac pointed out that this Ministry was determined to rejuvenate its staff and that that was one of the pre-requirements to guarantee the security of our citizens and the security of people visiting Srpska. He reminded the audience that the Government has brought the decision on financing the new building of the Police Academy which will be located in the Zaluzani Training Centre.      The Republic of Srpska Prime Minister, Mr Radovan Viskovic, expressed his content with the fact that this was the most numerous class of Police Academy cadets so far. He pointed out that the Republic of Srpska Government did a lot in improving the status and position of the members of the Ministry, as well as in terms of technical and material equipping with the aim of raising the security level.      The Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Darko Culum, also attended the ceremony of signing the agreements with the cadets.
