      The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr. Dragan Lukač, together with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Mr. Radovan Višković, and the Republic of Srpska President, Ms. Željka Cvijanović, attended the ceremony of presenting 100 new vehicles of the Ministry. He assessed this procurement as another step towards improving the security in the Republic of Srpska.      ‘’The Republic of Srpska Government continues to invest into security through the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior in order to work quickly and efficiently. We will continue with these investments also in future’’, Minister Lukač said. Minister Lukač said that the total value of these vehicles was 5.7 million BAM and emphasized that they were procured through operating leasing.      ‘’A large number of vehicles within this Ministry, approximately 30% of them, are over 15 years old. We spend a lot of money on maintaining and servicing these weapons. Now, we are getting a new maintenance system of high quality, which is already used by surrounding countries’’, Minister Lukač concluded.      The Prime Minister, Mr. Radovan Višković, said that a hundred new vehicles would be distributed across the Republic of Srpska, and that, by the procurement of these vehicles, the Ministry of the Interior became more operative and capable to protect citizens of the Republic of Srpska.      He explained that the decision to purchase vehicles through operating leasing, rather than financial leasing, was more favorable to the Government.       ‘’In addition to operating leasing, one also has Casco insured vehicles, tire sets, and regular maintenance over the next four years. We have decided for this option and will continue to do so in future’’, Prime Minister Višković said.      Today, in Zalužani, Banja Luka, the Republic of Srpska President, Ms. Željka Cvijanović, emphasized the importance of continuous work of the Republic of Srpska Government on improving and equipping Ministry of the Interior, which was confirmed by the procurement of 100 new vehicles.
