A ceremonial promotion of 322 of the 20th class of the Unit for Police Training - Police Academy of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior was held today in Training Centre in Zalužani. It was attended by the Republic of Srpska President, Ms. Željka Cvijanović, the Republic of Srpska Prime Minister, Mr. Radovan Višković, the Minister of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, Mr. Dragan Lukač, and the Police Director, Mr. Darko Ćulum. The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr. Dragan Lukač, stated that 322 young police officers who completed their education and training at the Police Academy would be deployed next week across the Republic of Srpska territory to do police work and take care of the security of the Republic and its citizens.      President Željka Cvijanović extended congratulations to young police officers on successfully completed training and expressed pleasure that the Republic of Srpska could be proud of new accomplishments every year. Furthermore, she stated that being a police officer meant not only having a job, but wearing uniform with the Republic of Srpska insignia and being aware all the time of the challenges, as well as of the honour, pride, and patriotism. The Republic of Srpska Prime Minister, Mr. Radovan Višković, said that young police officers were the pillar of future security of the Republic of Srpska and pointed out that, year after year, the Republic of Srpska, had an increasingly greater number of cadets by which they continue to strengthen MoI in personnel terms and to rejuvenate its staff with young and educated people. The Head of Administration for Police Training, Mr. Mile Šikman, said that during 13.5 months of training based on contemporary curriculum, cadets mastered theoretical and practical training and acquired the knowledge and skills necessary to do police work. The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr. Dragan Lukač, issued the decision by which the following cadets were awarded for their results achieved in learning and conducting process: Mr. Obrad Vuković, Ms. Slađana Tomović, and Ms. Danka Jovanović, whose GPA was 5.0 (excellent success).
