The Republic of Srpska

Today, at Training Centre in Zalužani, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Dragan Lukač, and Police Director, Mr Darko Ćulum, attended the ceremony of awarding certificates to the first group of 40 attendees for police officers of the Gendarmerie Unit who successfully completed this process. Minister Lukač said that the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior would continue to organize such trainings in future as the plan was to have members of the Gendarmerie from all units from the Republic of Srpska in order to apply acquired knowledge and perform any interventions in cooperation with the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit.  In addition, he said that such exercises would be constantly performed at Training Centre in Zalužani since that was its purpose. Members of the Gendarmerie Unit performed a demonstration exercise presenting learned tactical and technical solutions for successfully overcoming complex security situations.
