The Republic of Srpska

Police officers of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior will undertake legally prescribed measures and actions in order to protect personal and property security of all citizens and to preserve a positive security situation while respecting the principles of humanity, along with high presence and work of police officers in the field, especially on places where illegal migrants move and assembly – this was concluded at today’s session of the Coordination body for monitoring movement of illegal migrants over the territory of the Republic of Srpska. At today’s session, hosted by the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr. Darko Ćulum, there was performed a situation analysis of illegal migrants on the territory of the Republic of Srpska.  It was concluded that the Republic of Srpska Police would continue to provide assistance to the BiH Border Police in protecting eastern border from the entry of illegal migrants in accordance with the signed agreement.  In addition, in the next period, an intensive work will be performed on countering, preventing, and detecting criminal offences of ‘’ People Smuggling’’ together with the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, BiH Border Police, SIPA, and the Service for Foreigner’s Affairs.
