The Republic of Srpska

The Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, visited today the police administrations in Bijeljina and Zvornik, where he met with the heads of these administrations and their associates. They discussed the current security situation and activities undertaken in the field of preventing organized crime on this territory. One of the topics of these meetings was also the measures undertaken by the officers of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior with the aim of preventing migrant crisis in the country. Director Kostrešević pointed out that the Police of the Republic of Srpska would continue providing support to the Border Police of BIH in protecting the eastern border. He added that, at that moment, there were 80 police officers engaged in this activity and that the number could be increased if necessary.
