The Republic of Srpska

Today, on behalf of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, received the donation from an international NGO, ‘Save the Children’, in the form of high-tech forensic equipment for the Department for countering cyber-crime, Crime Police Administration, with the aim of protecting children from sexual exploitation and abuse online. The Director of ‘Save the Children’, Ms Andrea Žeravčić, said that the second part of the donated equipment would arrive to the Ministry in January, and that the donation itself was based on the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the ‘Save the Children’ and the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior. Additionally, as a part of this cooperation, trainings for police officers whose tasks are connected to this field are planned, as well as joined projects that would improve the capacities of the institutions of the Republic of Srpska in the field of protecting children online.
