By honoring the fallen members of the Republic of Srpska Interior Ministry with memorial service and the consecration of grain and breaking bread, the RS Ministry of Interior today commemorated the Patron Saint of Holy Archangel Michael. At the Central Memorial for the fallen members of the Interior Ministry wreaths were laid by the Republic of Srpska Interior Minister Dragan Lukač, Police Director Sinisa Kostrešević, President of Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović, President of the RS National Assembly Nedeljko Čubrilović, RS Prime Minister Radovan Višković, as well as the envoy of the Serb member of the BiH Presidency, Boško Tomić. Minister Lukač congratulated all members of the Interior Ministry on the celebration of patron saint, and wished everyone to spend this great day in peace as well as every following one. The Republic of Srpska President Željka Cvijanovic congratulated the RS Interior Ministry's patron saint, noting that the Interior Ministry is part of the identity of Srpska and that members of the police represent a strong segment of security, stability and the rule of law, on the pride and honor of citizens. The RS Prime Minister Radovan Višković noted that the Ministry of Interior is a guarantor of the safety of citizens without which Srpska would be in a difficult position today. Congratulating the Interior Ministry patron saint, Viškovic said it was an opportunity to remember the ministry members who gave their lives for the defense of Republic of Srpska and freedom.  The Republic of Srpska National Assembly President Nedeljko Čubrilovic said the RS Interior Ministry is an important element of stability not only for Republic of Srpska but for the whole of BiH, and expressed hope that it will remain and survive in the future. A memorial service for the fallen members of the RS Ministry of Interior and the celebration ceremony were held at the Holy Archangel Michael Memorial Church at the Interior Ministry Training Centre in Zalužani. The commemoration will end tonight with a traditional concert by the Police Orchestra at the Banski dvor Concert Hall.
