The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Dragan Lukač, and Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, organized today a reception for the retired members of the Ministry of the Interior on occasion of the 4th April – Police Day and 30th anniversary of the Ministry. Minister Lukač pointed out that the Ministry of the Interior would still rely on assistance of its retired police officers and cooperation with them in all situations. He said that their experience was priceless and that their knowledge and skills could provide assistance to the current police members. The Minister said they would never give up on former police officers, adding that they handed them over retirement police identification cards so that they would be able to identify themselves as former police officers in any situation or location. Mr Nenad Knežić, a retired police officer from Zvornik, thanked the management of this Ministry for the reception. He said it was a great honour for him and that he would always be at disposal to his colleagues. Another retired police officer form Banja Luka, Mr Zoran Sredić, said that 30th anniversary of the Ministry represented a great jubilee. He pointed out that the progress of the Ministry was visible in all segments, guaranteeing a safe life in the Republic of Srpska.
