The Republic of Srpska

The Republic of Srpska Minister of Interior Dragan Lukač received today in Banja Luka an inaugural visit from the newly-appointed U.S. Ambassador to BiH, H.E. Michael J. Murphy. Minister Lukač introduced Ambassador Murphy with the security situation in the Republic of Srpska, and the plan and priorities in the work of the Ministry. They also discussed the present cooperation between the U.S. Embassy and the RS MoI and evaluated it as good, confirming that the cooperation will continue in the future. Having in mind the recent situation in BiH and worldwide, they agreed the priority is to maintain peace and stability in the country. Brianna Powers, the Director of Branch Office Banja Luka of the U.S. Embassy to BiH, also attended the meeting.
