The Republic of Srpska

Today, in Banja Luka, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Dragan Lukač, and the Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, welcomed the students of the 11th Class of the Advanced Studies of Security and Defence from the Republic of Serbia.                 Minister Lukač expressed his honour and gratitude that the students of such prestigious institution, which was accredited for the most advanced level of civilian education for work in the security system, were visiting the Republic of Srpska Government and the Ministry of the Interior for the seventh time as a part of their visit to the countries of the region. He expressed his hope that this practice would continue in future. Minister Lukač said that the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior paid special attention to the education system. In this respect and in accordance with its own capacities, the Ministry was making additional efforts for training and further professional development of police staff. He stated that the strategic project of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior was the construction of the Training Centre, within which the construction of a modern facility of the Police Academy and Boarding School was in its final phase. After the meeting, as part of their study visit to BiH, representatives of the Advanced Studies of Security and Defence of the Republic of Serbia would visit the Training Centre of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior.
