The Republic of Srpska

    The priority in the work of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior remains strengthening its role in countering all forms of organized crime, with particular emphasis on preventing drug trafficking and countering terrorism – agreed both the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan and the Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević. They held their first working meeting today and agreed to continue improving the operational cooperation and partnerships with police agencies in the region and worldwide, with the aim of efficient fight against transnational crime, and the personal protection of the Republic of Srpska citizens and their property. Director Kostrešević introduced Minister Karan with the security situation on the Republic of Srpska Territory –regarding crime rates, public order and peace and traffic safety. The security situation was evaluated as good, according to the parameters. The Minister and the Director agreed to visit all police administrations in the upcoming period, in order to evaluate the situation on the field.
