The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, and the Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, attended today at the Training Centre the ceremony of awarding the certificates to the 1st group of police officers of the RS MoI Gendarmerie who attended the advanced training.   37 members of the Gendarmerie completed the advanced training, which lasted two and half months. Minister Karan stated that the police officers who completed both the elementary and advanced training could surely respond to the most complex security challenges that the Republic of Srpska might face with and that there was no security challenge our police officers were not trained or equipped for. He pointed out that the RS MoI had elite units that are able to protect the constitutional order of the Republic of Srpska, lives and the property of the citizens and that they professionally performed other assignments. ”This gives us the commitment to maintain the security situation in the Republic of Srpska and to keep building our police capacities, in order to respond to the possible security challenges”, said Minister Karan. Minister Karan also visited the premises of the Training Centre, and expressed his contentment with the conditions at the Training Centre, providing the training at the highest standard.
