The Republic of Srpska

  Today, in Istočno Sarajevo, the members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior participated in the Solemn parade on the occasion of celebrating 9 January – the Republic of Srpska Day.   More than 2,500 members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, representatives of civil sector, various Republic administrations, associations and organisations. The Solemn parade consisted of 37 echelons from the civil sector, Flag platoon, 13 police echelons, 6 motorized echelons of the units of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, as well as helicopters. The President of the Republic of Srpska, Mr Milorad Dodik, said that he was proud of the Republic of Srpska Police that nowadays maintained order and peace. At the end of the solemn parade, a 500-meter-long flag of the Republic of Srpska was unfolded. In addition to President Dodik, the ceremonial parade was also attended by the Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, Serbian member of BIH Presidency, Ms Željka Cvijanović, as well as other officials and citizens of the Republic of Srpska.
