The Republic of Srpska

  The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, held today a meeting with the Ambassador of Austria to BiH, Her Excellency, Ms Ulrike Hartmann, where they assessed the current cooperation as successful, underlining the implemented actions in the field of countering organised crime. They noted that migration was a common security challenge both for the Republic of Srpska and the Republic of Austria. Ambassador Hartman informed Minister Karan about two projects of the European Commission on human trafficking, and invited the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior to participate in their implementation.  The Austrian ambassador referred to the need for establishing and functioning of the Joint Contact Point in BiH for cooperation with Europol, for the purpose of timely data exchange and more effective action by the police in countering crime.
