The Republic of Srpska

    Further improvement of cooperation in the field of internal affairs – this was the topic of today’s meeting of the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, and the Republic of Serbia Minister of the Interior, Mr Bratislav Gašić, in Belgrade. Ministers Karan and Gašić agreed that strategic and operational cooperation between the two Ministries was excellent, especially in the field of countering organized crime and contemporary security risks and threats. Another point that was discussed at the meeting was the continuation of joint professional trainings of police officers of the Republic of Srpska and the Republic of Serbia, with the aim of further strengthening the capacities for maintaining security and protection of all citizens. The meeting was also attended by the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević and acting Police Director of the Republic of Serbia, Mr Dragan Vasiljević.
