Today in Šekovići was marked the 30th anniversary of establishing the Second Detachment of the Special Police Brigade and, on this occasion, memorial service was held and wreaths were laid at the memorial for the fallen members of the unit. Wreaths at the memorial were laid by the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, the Commander of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit of the RS MoI, Mr Goran Balaban and the Head of Zvornik Police Administration, Mr Aleksandar Vasiljević. In his address after the solemn academy, Minister Karan emphasized the importance and the sacrifice the soldiers in this detachment gave for the freedom, participating in all the battlefields during the previous homeland defense war. 21 members of the Second Detachment were killed at the battlefield, whereas 150 of them suffered slight and severe bodily injuries.
