  The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, and the Mayor of Pale municipality, Mr Boško Jugović, laid today in Pale the cornerstone for the construction of the new building of the Istočno Sarajevo Police Administration. The value of the project is estimated to BAM 9.8 million, and the construction deadline is June 2024. ”For historic reasons, I am particularly pleased that the first building constructed solely for police purposes within any police administration of the RS MoI will be built in Pale”, said Minister Karan and reminded the public of the first line-up of the Republic of Srpska Police that was performed on 30 March 1992. Minister Karan pointed out that this would be the first newly-built facility, since only various reconstructions and other investments were made in existing facilities. He said that this facility would include all structures of the Istočno Sarajevo Police Administration and Pale Police Station – from crime police, general jurisdiction police to Gendarmerie. Another important thing is that this multi-purpose facility would include offices and public counters where the citizens would be able to exercise all the rights citizens have. Minister Karan also mentioned that the Ministry would continue the practice of constructing new facilities and that the building of the Secondary School of Internal Affairs would be opened soon. ”The Ministry of the Interior is dedicated to continuous investments in our facilities, material and technical aids and training. These three segments make one unique, inseparable structure, creating the pre-requirements for successful operation of the Ministry, which, primarily include the protection of the constitutional order of the Republic of Srpska, the life and safety of its citizens and their property”, said Minister Karan. The construction of the Istočno Sarajevo Police Administration building in Pale is carried out by the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, with the support of the Republic of Srpska Government and Municipality of Pale.
