The Republic of Srpska

  Today, the President of the Republic of Srpska, Mr Milorad Dodik, the President of the Republic of Srpska National Assembly, Mr Nenad Stevandić, Serb member and the Chairwoman of BIH Presidency, Ms Željka Cvijanović, Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, and the veterans of the Special Police Brigade, as a part of marking the Police Day, visited the Memorial Room within the facility of Special Anti-Terrorist Unit, where they laid wreaths to the Monument of the fallen members of the Special Police, lit the candles and commemorated all their fellow soldiers who died in the war.   On 4 April 1992, the Special Police Brigade was formed, and its primary purpose was to establish public order and peace, eliminate terrorist groups and participate in defensive-patriotic war.
