           Regarding the recent incident where one person was murdered in an armed confrontation of criminals, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior acknowledges the uneasiness of the citizens of Sokolac. The police officers are undertaking all the necessary measures and activities in order to protect the citizens and maintain the appropriate security situation on the territory of the Municipality of Sokolac, and the whole territory of the Republic of Srpska – this is the conclusion of the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior’s staff meeting, held today in Sokolac Police Station.       At the meeting, also attended by the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, heads of the operational administrations, the head of Istočno Sarajevo Administration, Mr Branimir Šehovac, and the management of Sokolac Police Station, it was confirmed that persons who were processed by the police on several occasions participated in the incident, the criminal case of ‘Aggravated murder’ was solved and that the suspect of committing the murder was arrested.       One of the conclusions of the Minister’s staff meeting was condemnation of publishing the video of the murder of the person whose initials are M.M. in Sokolac, which further disturbed the citizens and definitely did not contribute to the criminal investigation conducted by the police and the Prosecutor’s office regarding the perpetration of this criminal offence.         At the staff meeting, the future activities of the Ministry were defined as well.
