Today, by distributing promotional material in Doboj, the police officers of Doboj Police Administration implemented the campaign of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior and the Republic of Srpska Women Police Officers Network, which was supported by UNDP in BIH through the project ‘Digitalization and institutional and regional cooperation’ on dangers of the abuse of firearms. Assistant commander of Doboj 1 Police Station, Mr Stojan Petrušić said that, last year, on the territory covered by Doboj PA, the following criminal offences were recorded: ‘Attempted murder’ (1), ‘Aggravated Robbery’ (1), and ‘Causing Public Danger’ (3), whereas the criminal offence of ‘Illegal Manufacturing and Trade of Weapons or Explosive Substances’ was committed 27 times in total. Once again, Doboj PA would like to appeal to all the persons who have any information that somebody possesses weapons illegally, carries weapon in public place or that somebody used their firearms to shoot – to please call the free telephone number ‘122’ or report it directly to the nearest police station.
