The Republic of Srpska

Today, in Banja Luka, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, met with the Vice-President of the Republic of Srpska, Mr Davor Pranjić, and discussed the security situation for the returnee population of Croatian ethnicity, with emphasis on the recent case that occurred in the town of Derventa, where the victim was a returnee who is an ethnic Croat. Minister Karan and Vice-President Pranjić praised the fast and efficient activities of the Republic of Srpska Police within the investigation of this case. Minister Karan pointed out that the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, in accordance with its competence, undertakes all the necessary measures and activities to maintain the favourable security situation on the territory of the Republic of Srpska and guarantees safety to all citizens of the Republic of Srpska regardless of their ethnicity.
