The Republic of Srpska

            The Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, commended all organizational units and police officers who participated in securing basketball matches of FIBA Champions’ League, for their professionalism, expertise and efficiency in assessing, planning and implementing security measures, since the matches were held without any incidents and the stay of basketball players and the club staff went safely.             The competitions were held in the period from 28 to 30 November in the Sports Hall in Laktaši, and several matches were played by the Israeli basketball clubs, which represented particular security risk, having in mind that these matches were supposed to be played in the Republic of Turkey, but they could not guarantee absolute security considering the situation in the Gaza strip.
