The Republic of Srpska

       Today, the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević and the chiefs of police agencies from the Western Balkan countries and a few countries from the European Union signed in Rome the Joint Declaration of Intent of the Task Force Western Balkan on Cooperation in the Field of Fighting Migrant Smuggling.     The aim of the Joint Declaration is development and improvement of cooperation in the field of countering smuggling of migrants through establishing principles of cooperation within the Task Force Western Balkan and its 24/7 intelligence and operational structure, including its rapid response mechanism.       The signing of the Joint Declaration is realised within the EMPACT Operational Action Plan ‘Western Balkan Task Force’. The participants of the conference are directors of law enforcement agencies from the following countries: Albania, Austria, BIH, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Switzerland, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia and the United Kingdom.
