The Republic of Srpska

                Security situation on the territory of the Republic of Srpska is good, and the latest actions of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior and its police officers prove its decisiveness in countering crime and corruption and prosecution of the perpetrators of the most serious criminal offences. This was the conclusion of the Staff Meeting the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior held in the premises of the Mrkonjić Grad Police Administration.             The Staff Meeting was attended by the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, heads of operational administrations of the Ministry at its headquarters and the head of Mrkonjić Grad. They analyzed the activities of police officers in all security areas.             Head of the Mrkonjić Grad PA, Mr Milan Milekić, presented the security situation of the territory covered by that administration, and it was evaluated as favorable. Having in mind the number of casualties from traffic accidents on the territory of the police administration, it has been concluded that it was necessary to place additional efforts of all entities in charge of traffic security, in order to avoid similar tragedies in the future.             The participant of the Staff Meeting also analyzed the activities related to countering terrorism and extremism, migrant crisis, and the cooperation and exchange of operational intelligence with the police forces from the region and worldwide.
