The Republic of Srpska

Delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan Ministry of the Interior, headed by the National Coordinator for Police Reform, General-Mayor of Militia, Mr Azizulozoda Safialo, and the members of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, were in a three-day study visit to the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior.  While drafting the new Law on the Police, the Republic of Tajikistan Ministry of the Interior expressed interest to exchange experience with the Republic of Srpska Police in the aspect of transformation from the traditional to modern police forces, with special focus on community policing and intelligence-led policing. During their study visit, the delegation met with various managers in the Ministry and visited numerous organisational units, where they were introduced to the competence, line of work and capacities of the Ministry. On that occasion, the representatives of the delegation expressed their gratitude for the engagement of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior during their visit as well as pleasure with everything they were presented with. The visit of the prestigious delegation of Tajikistan supports the fact that the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior has been recognised as a respectable police agency, which contributes to strengthening cooperation outside our borders and transferring their knowledge and experience regarding police modernisation.
