The Republic of Srpska

From today, as a part of providing mutual support in performing police duties, six police officers of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior are going to be engaged with the police officers of the Republic of Serbia Ministry of the Interior in providing security at ‘Exit’ music festival, in Novi Sad, Serbia. The police officers are going to be stationed in the Republic of Serbia during the festival and their role is to facilitate cooperation with the visitors from the Republic of Srpska. This is supposed to have preventive effect on security situation on the territory of Novi Sad and the safety of visitors of the festival in general. The aforementioned activity is realised in accordance with the Memorandum on Cooperation between the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior and the Republic of Serbia Ministry of the Interior, signed on 18 June this year. The plan is to implement similar activities during the summer and winter tourist season in several cities, such as Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Zlatibor in Serbia; and Banja Luka, Foča, and Trebinje in the Republic of Srpska.
