Security situation on the territory of the Republic of Srpska is favourable, and citizens live in peaceful and safe environment, and the members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior are successfully performing activities in their competence defined by law and regulated by the constitution – this is the main conclusion of the extended staff meeting  of the Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, held today at the Administration Centre of the Republic of Srpska Government in Istočno Sarajevo. He added that, in the first half of the year, the crime rate was almost 10% lower, and the rate of general crime and crime against property was 24% lower. ‘We are especially pleased with the total rate of soved criminal cases committed by a known and unknown perpetrator, which varies between 80% and 85%’, Minister Karan pointed out.
