CLASSES START FOR ANOTHER GENERATION OF THE HIGH SCHOOL OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS

       The Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, welcomed today the pupils of the High School of Internal Affairs and wished them a successful new school year.          The total of 376 pupils are attending the boarding model of education, and 179 of them are attending the final year of secondary school, whereas there are 197 third grade pupils.            During the first class that was organized on the occasion of the arrival of the 10th class, that is 197 pupils who were enrolled in the third grade of the High School of Internal Affairs, Director Kostrešević stated that this school had its specific characteristics and therefore particular attention of the Republic of Srpska authorities and the status of a school of special interest.             ”The work of a police officer is hard ad demanding, but at the same time beautiful and humane. I am sure that your teachers will put maximum effort in your education and training in solving the greatest challenges you will be facing with during your police career. The mere fact that you have been selected to attend this school among numerous candidates, speaks volumes about your quality and your determination to become police officers”, said Director Kostrešević.               The Head of the Administration for Police Education, Mr Mile Šikman, also welcomed the pupils and pointed out the importance of police education and a systematic solution for the education of the members of the RS MoI by means of a High School of Internal Affairs, which is a part of the Administration for Police Education.           In March 2023, the Republic of Srpska Government passed the Decision on the establishment of the High School of Internal Affairs, and the reasons for its establishment included the long-term solution to the issue of human resources in the Ministry of the Interior, the continuation of the tradition of the secondary police education and enabling the continuation of police education at the institutions of higher education.
