The prosecutors and police officials in BiH gathered in Banja Luka to discuss the ways of improving the work and cooperation in prosecuting the cases of organized and economic crime and corruption, and concluded that the work of the forums for cooperation between the police administrations and district prosecutors’ offices (operational forums) that are regularly held, significantly contribute to more efficient work of police officers and prosecutors. The 33rd Strategic Forum was held in Banja Luka and hosted by the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior and the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, with the support of the project ”Strengthening prosecutors in the criminal justice system” of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC). The participants agreed that it was necessary to continuously implement the recommendations from the special report related to the expert analysis on countering organized crime and corruption based on specific cases for the period July 1, 2023-June 30, 2024.
