Today, the police officers of the Station Police Department in Mokro got new workplace facilities. The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, pointed out today that the most important task of the police is to gain citizens’ trust, so they have the feeling of personal safety, and that it was something that could only be realised through the symbiosis of the Ministry of the Interior and local communities. On the occasion of visiting the newly built facility in the local community of Mokro, where the Station Police Department is situated, the Minister said that the security situation in Pale and in the city of Istočno Sarajevo was satisfactory in general, and that the decreasing trends of crime were visible in the Republic of Srpska. ‘Through its function of providing good security situation, the Ministry of the Interior is fully supporting the prosperity of local communities and citizens’, Minister Karan said. The new facilities were also visited by the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, the managers of Istočno Sarajevo Police Administration, the City of Istočno Sarajevo, and the Municipality of Pale.
