            The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, and the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, organized today at the Training Centre in Zalužani a reception for the brave police officers from the whole territory of Srpska, who demonstrated a high level of professionalism and dedication in saving human lives during the past year.             Letters of appreciation were awarded to 19 police officers who showed particular humanity in performing their duties and assignments: from the Banja Luka Police Administration – Ognjen Milašinović, Nikola Zorić, Nemanja Pejaković, Nemanja Ćosić, Draže Kajtez, Srđan Pejić, Nikola Kovačević and Nikola Stanojević. Letters of appreciation were also awarded to the police officers from the Bijeljina Police Administration – Mile Miljić and Milorad Janjić, Trebinje – Miloš Popadić and Nikola Toković, Prijedor – Ahmed Bobaj and Ognjen Tomić, Zvornik – Milutin Ristić and Vasilije Grujičić, Foča – Stefan Cvijetić, Miloš Rađen and Zoran Ivanić.             Minister Karan stated that police work is inherently humanitarian and has an ethical component, which is why these recognitions were awarded. “These are the accomplishments of our members that go beyond their official duties, where the human instinct to help others and save lives prevailed,” said Minister Karan. He added that one of the key goals of the Ministry of the Interior was for the citizens to trust their police at all times. The awarded members of the Republic of Srpska Police expressed their gratitude for the recognitions and stated that, as people, they would always save and ease the life of any citizen in dangerous situations. They also said that the letters of appreciation meant a lot to them and added that it was in the human nature to help others and that they would always do so.
