On the occasion of celebrating the 9th January, the Republic of Srpska Day, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior is undertaking all planned and intensified security measures with the aim of maintaining favourable security situation on the territory of the Republic of Srpska so this holiday can be celebrated peacefully and without incidents – this is the conclusion of today’s meeting of the HQ of security action for ‘the Republic of Srpska Day 2025’, held today, in Banja Luka.  The meeting of the HQ was also attended by the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, whom the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, as the head of the HQ, informed on all the activities undertaken in the field of security, but also on the activities of organizing the Ceremonial Parade of the Ministry of the Interior, which is going to take place on 9 January, at 5 PM in Banja Luka. Minister Karan noted that all security measures and activities should be undertaken so the planned activities in Banja Luka and Istočno Sarajevo could take place in peace, and invited the citizens of the Republic of Srpska to attend the event of Ceremonial Parade celebrating the Republic of Srpska Day. We would like to invite the citizens who intend to attend the Ceremonial Parade to follow the orders of police officers on the field, and not to carry any pyrotechnics or other dangerous items. In order to move easily and avoid creating crowds, citizens are advised not to carry rucksacks or bags, but to definitely bring an identification document.      With the aim of undertaking security measures and the activities on the occasion of the celebration of the New Year, Christmas according to the Julian calendar, and celebrating the 9th January – the Republic of Srpska Day, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior issued the Order of prohibiting the transport of explosive substances, weapons and military equipment on the roads of the Republic of Srpska, except for the transport of pyrotechnics for the announced fireworks as follows: -          from 12 PM on 6 January 2025, to 12 AM on 8 January 2025 -
