CEREMONIAL PARADE FOR MARKING THE 9TH JANUARY – THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA DAY

The Republic of Srpska Day – 9th January was marked tonight by the Ceremonial Parade in Banja Luka with almost 3,000 participants. The Ceremonial Parade consisted of 49 echelons from civil sector, whereas the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior participated with their Flag platoon, 14 unit echelons and eight motorized echelons.  ‘We are decisive to stay and remain on our own land’, the envoy of the Republic of Srpska President, Mr Milorad Dodik, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan said. He added that the Republic of Srpska was born for eternity, and congratulated the 9th January to all who attended the parade.           The Parade was attended by the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, with the delegation of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior; the Serb member and the Chair of BIH Presidency, Ms Željka Cvijanović; the President of the Republic of Srpska National Assembly, Mr Nenad Stevandić; the Republic of Srpska Senator, Mr Aleksandar Vulin; ministers from the governments of both Serbia and Srpska; the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in BIH, Mr Igor Kalabuhov; the representatives of Serbs in joint institutions of BIH, as well as other officials and numerous citizens of the Republic of Srpska. The ceremony ended traditionally with the song ‘Pukni zoro’, performed by police officer, Mr Aleksandar Dulić, and the Police Orchestra of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior.
