The Republic of Srpska

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, and the management of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, met today, in Banja Luka, with the delegation of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the City of Moscow.

      At the meeting, the future cooperation and friendly relations between the ministries were discussed, and these were made official in 2015 by signing the Memorandum of Understanding between the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the City of Moscow and the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior. The focus was on the concretization of cooperation within the Memorandum, and the interest was expressed for the training of service dogs, mounted police and countering terrorism.

       Minister Karan awarded the delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation with the Plaque for the long-standing successful cooperation, experience exchange and positive practices, which contributes to the creation of strong and unbreakable friendly relations between our Ministries.
       The delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation is visiting the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior from 2nd to 5th April 2025, in order to attend the celebration of the Republic of Srpska Police Day.
