The Republic of Srpska

Graduates of the High School of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior completed a three-day visit to Vienna and Graz, where they had the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the Austrian police structures.

The visit, which involved 17 students from the Banja Luka High School of Internal Affairs, was organized by the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Austria, in cooperation with the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior and Professor Jörg Hofreiter, the honorary consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Styria. During previous months, Professor Hofreiter had been teaching German language to the students.

The students had the chance to explore the work of the Provincial Police Directorate - Styria, and in Vienna, they were received by Karl Marer, the former head of the Vienna police.

"The students of the High School of Internal Affairs also visited our Representative Office and had the chance to tour the Vienna City Hall, as well as numerous other tourist sites. As part of this project, a book titled 'Police Dictionary' was published, which will assist both current and future police officers. We are grateful to Professor Hofreiter for his efforts and expertise, which helped strengthen the cooperation between the police structures of the Republic of Srpska and Austria," said Mladen Filipović, Head of the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska.

Filipović also expressed his gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Srpska and the Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska, Mr Siniša Karan, for recognizing the significance of the project and supporting the publication of the Police Dictionary.
