Representatives of the Unit for Countering Cybercrime within the Crime Police Administration of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior won a bronze medal at the ‘Cyber Games’ competition held from May 20 to 23, 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event gathered over 100 experts from more than 40 countries.

‘Cyber Games’ is a competition that gathers cybercrime investigators and cybersecurity specialists, organized by the Council of Europe (C-PROC), INTERPOL, and the Malaysian National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA). The team of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior competed against 18 teams, demonstrating a high level of training and readiness to tackle the challenges posed by the dynamic digital environment.

Participants faced realistic scenarios involving ransomware attacks, digital evidence analysis, blockchain forensics, OSINT techniques, malware analysis, and network traffic monitoring. The competitive setting provided an opportunity for participants to deepen their knowledge, learn from each other, and exchange skills and experience, with the aim of improving the fight against cybercrime at local and international level.

Joint project of the European Union and the Council of Europe, known as CyberSEE, provided support to the participation of the representatives of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior in the competition.
