Mile Šikman, Head of the Administration for Police Education at the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, and Ádám István Horváth, Director of the Police Education and Training Centre under the administration of the National Police Headquarters, signed today in Banja Luka a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance cooperation in the field of education and professional development.

“The goal is to improve our training programs and to benefit from the best practices in international, particularly bilateral, cooperation. Our Hungarian colleagues are interested in adopting our experience in training police officers with higher education qualifications who start their employment at the Ministry for the first time and have no prior police experience,” emphasized Šikman.

Ádám István Horváth noted that the Police Education and Training Centre organizes all types of training, from basic to specialized, except for university-level education.

The delegation of the Police Education and Training Centre of the Hungarian Ministry of the Interior is currently on a two-day visit to the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior in Banja Luka.
