The Republic of Srpska

Željko Budimir, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, attended today in Banja Luka the ceremony of the consecration of the bells at the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord.

The ceremony was also attended by the Republic of Srpska President, Milorad Dodik, the Republic of Srpska Prime Minister, Savo Minić, as well as several ministers of the Government.

The Serbian-Russian church is being built in honor of the Russian imperial family of Romanov and stands as a symbol of the determination of the Serbian people and the fraternal relations between Serbs and Russians.

The Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord is an impressive structure, designed in a symbolic Russian architectural style. Within the church complex will be established the Serbian-Russian cultural and spiritual center and library, where the Russian language and rich Russian literature will be studied.
