The Republic of Srpska

Today, together with the members of the Correctional facility and Court Police, the police officers of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior successfully realized the joint tactical-demonstration exercise ‘Sadejstvo 2025’, where they proved they were ready to respond to all challenges they encounter. 

The Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska, Mr Željko Budimir, said that the exercise confirmed not only the cooperation between the two ministries, but also the strength of the Republic of Srpska to implement the penalty measures in prisons that were under control. 

‘This is not the only form of our cooperation. It is important to note that these two ministries cooperate incessantly, and all forms of joint trainings are constant’, Minister Budimir said. 

He pointed out that the situations presented in the exercise were not common in correctional facilities, but they proved the direct cooperation between the two ministries and that everybody who wished to threaten the Republic of Srpska had to know there was readiness for every form of response. 

The Republic of Srpska Minister of Justice, Mr Goran Selak, said that the exercise was perfectly performed and added that, at the location of the exercise was the correctional facility for prisoners, detainees and juveniles. 

‘This way, we send the message that nobody can threaten the institutions of the Republic of Srpska, the correctional facilities in this case, or the Republic of Srpska as a whole. Our police is ready and well-trained’, Selak pointed out. 

The members of Gendarmerie Unit, Special Anti-Terrorist Unit, and Administration for Aviation participated in the exercise.
