The Republic of Srpska

The security situation on the territory of the Banja Luka Police Administration remains stable. In the first ten months of this year, a total of 1,161 criminal offenses were recorded, which represents a decrease of 17.1% compared to the same period last year. These were the main conclusions of the meeting between the Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska, Mr Željko Budimir, and the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, with the management of the Banja Luka Police Administration. 

Head of the Banja Luka Police Administration, Mr Đurica Vukelić, informed the Minister about the organization and the work of this administration, as well as on current security challenges and the difficulties faced by police officers in their daily work.

Minister Budimir commended the efforts of the police officers in countering drug abuse and countering crime in general, as well as their commitment to maintaining public order and peace, considering the fact that this year there were 497 public gatherings and 1,238 sporting events within the jurisdiction of the Administration.

The Minister and the Director also visited the police stations Potkozarje, Lazarevo, and Lauš.
