The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior marked its saint patron’s day with a memorial service and the blessing of the traditional celebration bread and wheat at the Memorial Church of St. Archangel Michael, within the Training Center.

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Željko Budimir, used the opportunity to congratulate the patron saint day to all the members of the Ministry, emphasizing that the security situation on the territory of the Republic of Srpska was favorable and said that it would remain that way, owing to the daily efforts of the police.

Minister Budimir highlighted that the celebration of the patron saint day of the Ministry was attended by friends and guests from across the Republic of Srpska, as well as friends and colleagues from Serbia and Russia.

“These are rare moments when we gather in a festive atmosphere to honor our patron saint, St. Michael the Archangel,” Minister Budimir said.

Other officials of the Republic of Srpska also attended the lighting of the celebration candle.
