A WOMAN’S SAFETY MUST BE OUR PRIORITY

Women are the pillar of every family, and their safety must be our top priority.

Four years ago, the Republic of Srpska Government declared that there is zero tolerance for domestic violence.

The Ministry of the Interior continuously works to strengthen our institutional response, but more must be done to improve protection mechanisms. It is equally crucial to ensure that victims are empowered, protected, and supported at every step of the process.

Reporting violence is only the first step. Unfortunately, there are too many other steps to take.

Institutions play a key role, but the fight against violence is not “only a government issue”.

Whether it’s speaking out, offering support, or refusing to ignore what we see—every one of us has the power to do more.

This is the responsibility of all of us.

Only by joining forces can we build a society where every woman lives with dignity and feels safe.
