The Republic of Srpska

The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior hosted today a delegation from the French Republic, comprising members of the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group (GIGN) and representatives of the French Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Office of the Liaison Officer.

During the official visit, the delegation visited the Training Centre of the Ministry, where they had the opportunity to learn more about the organisation, responsibilities and the capacities of the Ministry. They discussed opportunities for organising joint activities, such as training sessions and study visits.

The Training Centre, the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit, and the Gendarmerie were presented as key segments of future cooperation.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the Training Centre and observed a brief demonstration exercise.
